EAST FISHKILL-Deanna H. Adams, 54, a resident of East Fishkill for 21 years, and formerly of Nashua, NH, and Plano, IL, died unexpectedly in her home on Tuesday, Jul 12, 2011.
Born in Sandwich, IL, on July 6, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Donald Maier and Dorothy Wright Maier. Dorothy resides in East Fishkill.
On May 21, 1977, in Plano, IL, she married Hugh "Bill" Adams, Jr., who survives at home.
Deanna graduated from Plano High School, and received her degree in Criminal Justice from Wabaunsee College. She worked as a Technician at A & P Pharmacy in LaGrange for eight years. Previously she worked at Caldor and Lindt Chocolate. She was a member of St. Columba Parish in Hopewell Junction.
Deanna was a devoted grandmother, mother, daughter, and friend. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She will be greatly missed for her kindness, selflessness, and the lives she touched.
In addition to her husband and mother, Deanna is survived by her children, Sarah (Adams) Merritt and her husband Brian of Troy, NY, and Hugh Adams, III, of Morton, IL; her grandchildren, Jackson Merritt and Michaila McDougal Merritt; her siblings, Donna Kimmey (Illinois), Dale Maier (California), and Devonna Maier (Colorado); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Doris Peidlow (Illinois).
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Plano, IL with interment to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Bristol, IL. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-6 pm at the Beverage Family Funeral Home, Sandwich, IL, with a prayer servicebeginning at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
