WAPPINGERS FALLS – Deborah M. Clarke, a local area resident for many years, died at home in Wappingers Falls. She was 79 years old.

Daughter of the late Moulton & Edith (Jaeger) Downer, she was born in Passaic, New Jersey on November 22, 1944.

She was a devoted wife and mother to her family. Deborah had an interest in nature and flowers. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Especially her grandchildren whom she adored dearly.

On November 20, 1965, Deborah married the love of her life, William F. Clarke in the Bronx. Her husband predeceased her on January 15, 2023.

Survivors include her sons Thomas M. Clarke of Pompano Beach, FL, William F. Clarke of Wappingers Falls, NY, Craig M. Clarke of Wappingers falls, NY; her daughter Laura Clarke (Brian Rennhack) of Hopewell Junction, NY; her grandchildren, Liam Platero-Clarke, Alana Clarke, Raina Rennhack, and Samantha Clarke; her sister, Mary-Lou Mcgowan; her brother, John Downer; her friend and caregiver Jenn Camilleri.

A service will be held at 10 am on July 27th at the Hopewell Reformed church, 143 Beekman Rd, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533. Following the service, there will be an interment of ashes at St. Denis Cemetery, 604 Beekman Rd, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533.
