LAGRANGEVILLE – Deborah J. Tompkins, 60, a lifelong area resident, died on August 9, 2024 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.

Debbie was born in Mount Kisco on June 19, 1964. She began her career working alongside her mother at Ellie's in Beekman. She worked in the flower shop at Sabellico's in Hopewell Junction for many years, and then had been employed as a manager at Pet Pro in LaGrangeville for almost 10 years.

Debbie is survived by her fiancé and partner of 30 years, Clark "Stan" Floryan of LaGrangeville; her mother, Ellen (Barrett) Chase and her husband James of Stormville; her siblings, Paul and Michele Eichler of Florida, Mike and Rebecca Tompkins of North Carolina, and James Fastiggi of Stormville; Stan's children and family; and many nieces and nephews. Debbie loved animals and will be missed by her many companions, her dog, Bane; her cats, Boots and Penny; her parrots, Kahlua and Chuckles, and her rabbit.
Debbie was predeceased by her father, George Tompkins; and Stan's son, Christopher Floryan, a US Marine Veteran.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 2 -5 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
