Debra M. Gardner, 56, a lifelong resident of Dutchess County, died on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Albany Medical Center.
Born in Beacon on October 3, 1956, she was the daughter of Irene Lewis Durso Schaefer of Hyde Park and the late Al Durso. She grew up in Cold Spring, Beacon and Hopewell Junction. Debra enjoyed fishing.

On March 6, 1973, Debra married Timothy John Gardner, Sr. who survives at home. She is also survived by her daughter, Emma Jo Gardner; her sisters, Alice Harrison and husband Daniel, and Rose Akins and husband, Adam; her grandchildren, Destiny and Justin Gardner; her brother and sisters-in-law, Luman and Coree Doxey, Tammy Miller and Deborah Baker; her cousin, Marie Totten; her cat, Wilbur; several aunts and uncles and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Timothy John Gardner Jr. who died in 2003.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 12:30-1:00pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm followed by interment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Debra's family.
