Debra Kirschner, a resident of Fishkill, passed away on July 19, 2025, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was 69.

Debra was born on July 14, 1956, in Manhattan, to the late Joseph and Beatrice (Nelson) Zabbia. She attended The Bronx High School of Science and Lehman College where she earned her bachelor's degree. Debra was an accountant for Cotswold Property Management in Harrison, New York.

On April 16, 1980, Debra married the love of her life, Richard, at the Botanical Gardens in the Bronx. They settled in Yonkers where they raised their family. He survives at home. Debra also leaves behind her two children, Melanie Lake and her husband, Jon Paul and Andrew Kirschner and his wife, Laurel; her grandchildren, Aubrey and Cayden Lake; her siblings, Vincent Zabbia and his wife, Maryann, Teresa Krajco, Mary Pagliaroli; and 3 nephews and 1 niece. Debra was predeceased by her parents and her four-legged friend, Maverick.

Debra will be remembered for her love for her family, especially her grandchildren, and her selflessness and giving nature.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
