Debra Ann Rufino, 67, an area resident for more than 30 years and formerly of the Bronx, died unexpectedly on December 12, 2024 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Manhattan on March 16, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Jan and Mary (Lynch) Witte. Debra had worked as a teaching assistant for the Wappingers Central School District.

Debra is survived by her sons, Jeremy Rufino and his wife Kelly, and Rocco Rufino; her grandson, Logan Rufino, her dog, Luna; her siblings, Eileen Rock and Jan Witte; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Aniello Rufino; her dog, Bruzer; and her siblings, Joseph, Robert and Tracey Witte.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a funeral service at 7:30pm. Private inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Debra's memory to the Dutchess County SPCA.
