HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Ded P. "Mishko" Elezaj, 86, passed away peacefully at home on September 6, 2023. A resident of Hopewell Junction since 1987, he previously lived in Manhattan.

Born in Montenegro on September 14, 1936, Mishko was the son of the late Prenka and Prena (Mikeli) Elezovic. He was employed as a residential manager for an apartment building in Manhattan until his retirement. His great passion was carpentry. Mishko was a parishioner at St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction.

On November 16, 1960 in Montenegro, he married Lena (Selcanin) Elezovic who survives at home after 63 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children and their spouses, Alexander and Debbie and Fanda and Giovanni; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings, Giystja, Djela, and Prena; his cousin and close friend, Nick Elezovic; and many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mishko was also predeceased by his siblings, Noshi, Treze, and Mara.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 3 – 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 11:30 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction, NY followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery.
