Obituary

Ms. Denese Renee Brown went to her eternal resting place with the Lord on June 7, 2013. Denese was a lifelong resident of Hillside Lake.
The fourth child of Leonard E. Brown and Anita A. Nissen-Brown, Denese is survived by her siblings Kimberlee Howze and her husband Richard of Crystal River, FL, Deirdre Brown of Washington, Eric Nissen Von Brown and his wife Tracy Kellogg-Brown of West Hurley, and Laura Varlaro and her husband Joseph of Rhinebeck; a nephew, Eric Nissen Von Brown II; four nieces, Kristin Rosborough, Rachel Kellogg, Emily Kellogg, and Ariel Kellogg whom she dearly loved; and her cat Precious.
After graduating from John Jay Senior High School, she proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps - a Marine (Semper Fi) tried and true. She was a member of the Vineyard Community Church of Hopewell Junction. Denese had a vast array of interests which included playing acoustic guitar, song writing, and yard sales. She was a very talented musician and was an avid cat lover. She volunteered at the East Fishkill Senior Center and delivered Meals on Wheels to home bound seniors. She enjoyed meeting them and speaking with them. Denese was a longtime companion and care provider for her mother, Anita. Denese had a longtime family friend and companion, Donny Lattin, for whom she cared for deeply and that friendship will never be forgotten.
Denese was a beautiful person inside and out, compassionate for others, caring, a great friend, sister and aunt. Denese struggled for years for inner peace and through God she found that strength and was called home early.
