HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Denese A. DeGaetano, 61, a lifelong area resident, died on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in the Bronx on December 23, 1953, she was the daughter of Charles and Florence DeGaetano who survive at home in Hopewell Junction. She is also survived by her son, Jonathan DeGaetano of Hopewell Junction; her brothers, Mark DeGaetano and his wife Silvia of White Plains and Charlie A. DeGaetano of Poughkeepsie; her nieces, Corrine Ballas and Suzanne Ballas; and her nephew, Mark DeGaetano; she was predeceased by her sister, Renee Ballas.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment at the Community Mausoleum of Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
