HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Denis G. Tracey, 54, a resident of Hopewell Junction for 22 years and formerly of Yorktown, died unexpectedly on Friday, November 23, 2012 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh.

Born in the Bronx on December 13, 1957, he was the son of the late Joseph Patrick and Irene (Reilly) Tracey. On January 18, 1990 in Kona, Hawaii, he married Faith Speno who survives at home.

A member of the Teamsters Local 456 for 28 years, Denis was employed as a truck driver for Robison Oil in Elmsford.

In addition to his beloved wife, Denis is survived by his brothers, Michael Tracey and his wife Barbara and Joseph Tracey and his wife Eileen; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dolores and Anthony Speno; his brother-in-law, Patrick Speno; his sister-in-law, Christine Speno; his sister-in-law, Karen Fais and her husband Doug; his nieces, Erin, Caitlin, Nora, Lauren, Kristine, Nicole, Ashley, and Juliana; his nephews, Joseph, Steven, and Daniel; his grandnephews, Aiden and Jason; and his grandniece, Claire. He is also survived by his devoted pets, Taylor, Joy and Tasha.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:30 am at the funeral home followed by interment at St. Denis Cemetery in Hopewell Junction.
