Dennis J. Lanberg, 73, a resident of Sebastian, FL and formerly of Stormville, died on January 11, 2025 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence. He was lovingly known as "Poppy" to all who knew him.

Born in the Bronx on October 27, 1951, he was the son of the late William and Theresa (Spero) Lanberg. Dennis had been employed as an investigator with Crawford and Company. He was a devoted member of the East Fishkill Fire District for 25 years, serving both Hopewell Hose, Hillside Lake and Stormville Fire Companies. He was also a member of the East Fishkill Fire Police, and had served as Chaplain at Hillside Lake. He also enjoyed going to car shows.

On September 24, 1977 in Yonkers, Dennis married Judy DiJulio who survives at home. He is also survived by his son, Bryan Lanberg; his daughters, Cherish Santiago and her husband Jose, Christi Palomba and her husband Nick, and Brittanie Lanberg; his grandchildren, Amya, Brandon, Steven, Christian, Willow and Jordan; and his sister, Johanna Franco. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brothers, Billy and Bob Lanberg.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 12-2pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a firematic service at 2pm.
