Obituary

Dennis Patrick McConologue, 73, a resident of Wappingers Falls since 1978 and formerly of White Plains, died peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by his family.

Born on June 15, 1939 in White Plains, he was the son of John and Annie Corroon McConologue. Dennis proudly served our country in the US Navy. He was employed as a police officer for the Town of Greenburgh for 21 years and then for security for Marist College for 22 years. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Town of Greenburgh PBA.

His favorite activity was going to the fields on Robinson Lane, Ketcham High School, and Utica College to watch his grandchildren play ball. He also looked forward to his Thursday night dates with his grandson, Christopher, when they would watch wrestling together.

On September 29, 1962 in White Plains, Dennis married Rosemary Breslin who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Kathy Anne Lupo and husband Dan of Wappingers Falls, Dennis McConologue and wife Christine of Wappingers Falls, Kevin McConologue (US Army) and wife Stephanie of Fort Bliss, TX, John McConologue and wife Lori of Wappingers Falls, and Brian McConologue and fiancé Bronwyn Rice of Orlando, FL; his sister, Ann Fraser and husband Malcolm of FL; his grandchildren, Christopher, Daniel "D.J.", Kara, Jennifer, Jacqueline, Kelly, Megan, Hannah, Erin and Connor; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John McConologue.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10am at St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie followed by military honors.
