Diana
Silverman
September 27, 1980 – December 26, 2025
Dr. Diana Lee Silverman passed away on December 26, 2025 at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY at the age of 45 years old. Diana was born on September 27, 1980 in Warsaw, NY as the daughter of Donna J. (Wright) Ten Hoeve and Charles M. Livingston. She grew up in Fair Lawn, NJ, graduated from Rutgers University, and went on to pursue her dream of practicing medicine by attending NYCOM and earning her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. She started her career as a surgical breast oncologist in the Hudson Valley and, after her own battle with cancer prevented her from operating, continued her career in Integrative Oncology.
As a physician, she was compassionate, proactive, and deeply dedicated, helping countless women through their own battles with breast cancer as a surgical oncologist, even before her own diagnosis. Diana later transformed her personal cancer journey into a source of healing for others, creating a truly comprehensive, whole-person model of care as Medical Director of Pellegrino Integrative Cancer Center. She faced cancer with grace, determination, and a stubborn will to live, all while remaining a warm, joyful, and uplifting presence to everyone she encountered.
Diana was a bright star. She was an inspiration to many, embodying a life lived with purpose, generosity of spirit, and resilience-leaving those around her forever changed simply by having known her. Diana lived life with an adventurous spirit and a deep appreciation for each day. She inspired and encouraged those around her to live fully, to be present, and to embrace life's beauty even during life's most challenging moments. Diana found peace in nature and especially cherished quiet moments watching sunrises and sunsets.
Diana had an infectious smile that could light up any room and a rare gift for making people feel truly seen and valued. She cultivated meaningful friendships at every stage of her life and career and brought communities of people together. Most of all, she was a devoted and loving mother to her daughters, Alana and Addison. She created countless beautiful memories for her girls and poured her love into every moment they shared. She will be missed beyond measure.
The premature loss of Diana will have a profound impact on so many people. She will never be forgotten, and her light will continue to be radiant.
Diana is survived by her two beloved daughters, Alana Paige Silverman and Addison Marguerite Silverman; her former husband, Adam Silverman; her mother, Donna (David); her father, Charles (Davina); her siblings, Jamie Lynn D'Amico (Michael), Caelan Livingston, and Cyle Livingston; as well as many extended family members and friends who were chosen as family.
