Diane DeFelice, 61, a local resident for many years, died peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Putnam Hospital Center.
Born in Brooklyn on May 22, 1954, Diane was the daughter of Edward DeFelice and Angelina Cody DeFelice Boneri. During her lifetime, she also lived in the Bronx, Florida and New Jersey. She worked as an assembler at Dutchess ARC and participated in the Special Olympics in both swimming and bowling. Diane attended Mass at St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. She also loved singing, dancing and spending time with her family.
Diane is survived by her siblings and their spouses, Theresa and Robert Garcia of Lakeland, FL, Margaret and Max Glickman of Hopewell Junction, Edward DeFelice of Carteret, NJ, and Joseph and Lisa Boneri of Palm Bay, FL; her sister-in-law, Karen Wilcox of Turner, ME; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother, Robert DeFelice.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 3-5 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by the funeral service at 5pm. Interment will be in the family plot at Hopewell Cemetery at a later date.
