HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Diane Helen Ring, 74, an area resident since 1966 and previously of Mount Vernon, died on August 13, 2016 at her summer home in Winter Park, FL.
Born on July 25, 1942 in Mount Vernon, Diane was the daughter of the late Eugene Willis and Helen Anne (Drace) Lawless. On November 3, 1962 in Mount Vernon, she married Philip Louis Ring, Jr. who predeceased her in 2005 after 42 years of marriage.
She had been employed as a payroll administrator for Central Hudson Gas and Electric Company in Poughkeepsie for over 18 years until her retirement in 1998. Diane was a parishioner at St. Columba Church.
She is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Michelle and Christian Dailey of Highland and Suzanne and Nicholas Piazza of Winter Park, FL; her grandchildren, Taylor and Hunter Dailey and Britany and Chelsea Piazza; and her great-granddaughter, Sophia Helen.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery.
