Obituary

Dieter Hans Rennhack, born in Worms, Germany on May 4, 1940, son of Emilie Rennhack passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Vassar Brother Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Dieter was a long time resident of Hopewell Junction. He came to the United States in his late teens and graduated from Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park. He went on to graduate from SUNY New Paltz with a BS in Physics. He worked as a Senior Associate Engineer at IBM for 26 years before he retired.

He has a great passion for music and the arts. His hobby and special interest was the market and finance. He was a people's person. He also was chairman of the Dr. Edwin A. Ulrich Charitable Trust which gave scholarships to worthy students.

Dieter is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Ute Rennhack. He is also survived by his sons, Marc and Brian Rennhack, as well as his three grandchildren, Ryan, Brooke and Raina Rennhack. Dieter was a very special and humble man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The service will be held on Thursday at 10am at Hopewell Reformed Church, 143 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
