Dolores M. Finley, 76, an area resident for 10 years and formerly of Plymouth and Yonkers, NY, died peacefully with her children by her side on October 25, 2017 at Putnam Hospital Center.
Born in Astoria on May 8, 1941, she was the daughter of Anthony and Angelina (Procida) Taddeo. Dolores had worked as a culinary arts teacher for BOCES in Westchester County. She was a member of the Beekman Senior Citizens, and the Rolling Antiquer Car Club in Norwich, NY. In addition to cooking, she also enjoyed traveling the world, visiting garage sales and spending quality time with her grandchildren and beloved friends at the senior center, as well as numerous cousins, extended family and many loving and loyal friends.
Dolores is survived by her daughter, Kim M. Finley and her spouse, Steve Gray of Brewster; her son, Chris Finley and his wife Holly of LaGrangeville; her grandchildren, Justine, Kira, Layla and Dalton; and her sister, Carolann Hanika of Boca Raton, FL. She was predeceased by her loving partner of 25 years, Dominic Canestra.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction with at funeral service at 7:30pm.
