Dolores Gill, 92, a resident of Stuart, FL since 2004 and formerly of Wappingers Falls, died on August 10, 2022 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, Florida.
Born in Brooklyn on January 26, 1930, she was the daughter of Ysmael and Aurora (Camba) Paz. Dolores had worked as a bookkeeper for Brescia Real Estate and Dutchess Temps.
Dolores was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Stuart, FL. She loved to dance and was a member of the Rio Dance Studio. She was also a past member of the Sweet Adeline's Singing Club. She volunteered at Martin Memorial Hospital and several other places over the years.
On April 17, 1949, Dolores married the love of her life, Richard Thomas Gill, who predeceased her on May 18, 2005. She was also predeceased by her son, Tommy Gill in 2017; her brothers, Ysmael, Manuel and Robert Paz; and her sister, Madeline Foster.
Dolores is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and John Diedrich, daughter-in-law, Jodie Gill; her grandchildren, Kelly and Tom Duffy and their children, Drew, Peyton and Blake, Mary Diedrich, Jack and Katie Diedrich and their children Myles and CiCi, Jimmy and Orla Diedrich and their child, expected in a few short weeks, April Diedrich, Bridget Diedrich and Danny Diedrich; her sisters, Caroline Majid and Adele Venezia; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 9-11am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 11:30am St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed y interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
