PAWLING - Dolores Reitano, 74, died on June 5, 2025 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center with family by her side after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in the Bronx on February 28, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dora (Pepe) Perna. Dolores began her banking career as a young woman. She started with Chemical Bank in Manhattan and then moved onto HSBC Bank in Wappingers Falls until her retirement. Dolores was a kind, caring and friendly person. She enjoyed reading, word puzzles, long walks, Hallmark movies, and cooking for her family. Her eggplant parmesan, baked ziti, and lentil soup were always favorites. Dolores was happiest spending time with family especially her cherished grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Dolores was predeceased by her companion James Kelly. Dolores is survived by her beloved children, John (Laura) Donegan, Joseph (Betina) Donegan, and Erika (Jeffery) Devine; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Alicenne, Emily, Kennen and James. Dolores is also survived by her devoted siblings, Thomas Perna and Kathleen Murano, as well as extended family including cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from12 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 14 at McHoul Funeral Home, 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. following calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pawling Resource Center. Dolores was extremely grateful to the PRC volunteers who supported her through her illness.
