HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Domenica Morreale, 96, an area resident since 2000, died peacefully at her home on January 16, 2022. She previously lived in Mount Vernon, NY.

Born in Italy on September 17, 1925, Domenica was the daughter of the late Beniomino and Antonina (Sette) Cococcia. On October 30, 1954 at St. Mary's Church in Mount Vernon, Domenica married Louis P. Morreale who predeceased her in 2007.

She is survived by her children, Philip Morreale and his wife Donna of Lewes, DE, Richard Morreale of Hopewell Junction, and Carol Woltmann and her husband William of Beekman; her sister Lousia Lanzano and her husband Carlo of Bronx NY, her brother Luciano Cococcia who predeceased her in 2005; and her grandchildren, Kathryn Woltmann, Jordan Guigliano and her husband Rudy, Giancarlo Morreale, Karl Woltmann, and Gabrielle Morreale.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2 – 5 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 10 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery.
