Domenica "Margie" Piquet, our beloved "Mema", passed away late Friday, December 27, 2013 at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Born on October 20, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Natale and Chiarina Moreo. She was married on November 2, 1947 to the love of her life, Frederick Donaldson Piquet, who predeceased her on November 10, 1980. She was a vibrant and loving woman with a heart of gold and a warm smile. Her wonderful sense of humor could light up a room, and she leaves countless memories to those who survive her.
She was the beloved mother of Frederick T. Piquet and his wife Heather, and Gail A. Rinehart and her husband Christopher; devoted grandmother to Frederick Jr., Ryan, Lisa, Trevor and Lindsay; and great-grandmother to Lea, Michael, Riley, Isabella and Kaitlyn. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Leaving a large family and countless friends, she will be missed by many but never forgotten.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11am at Freedom Plains Presbyterian Church, 1168 Route 55, LaGrangeville. Interment will follow in the Freedom Plains Cemetery.
