Dominick Carroll, 92, a resident of Cold Spring for 7 years and formerly of Flushing NY, England and Ireland, died on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at his home.

Born in Fairymount, County Roscommon, Ireland on November 10, 1921, he was the son of Edward and Margaret Carty Carroll. Dominick was employed by the Sisters of St. Joseph for 20 years and Diocese of Brooklyn for 25 years as a Maintenance Supervisor.

On February 19, 1949 in Liverpool, England, Dominick married Eileen Veronica Doyle who survives at home. He was the beloved father of: Eileen Blazina (husband Nevio Blazina) of Red Hook, Regina Ecclefield (husband Simon Ecclefield) of New City, Seamus Carroll (wife Marie Wieck) of Cold Spring, Maureen Senk (husband Thomas Senk) of Mineola, Deirdre Noonan (husband Dennis Noonan) of Floral Park, Patricia Sullivan (husband Timothy Sullivan) of Mohegan Lake; cherished grandfather of: Nevin Blazina, Brian Ecclefield, Carina Ecclefield, Katie Senk, Emma Senk, Claire Carroll, Grace Carroll, Liam Noonan, Meaghan Noonan, Aidan Noonan, Matthew Sullivan, Connor Sullivan and Rowena Sullivan; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Edward Carroll, James Carroll, Patrick Carroll, Catherine McCullough, John Carroll, Thomas Carroll, Michael Carroll, Lawrence Carroll, Bridget Carroll, Mary Finn and Kevin Carroll.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6:30-8:30pm and Saturday from 10-11am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:30am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
