Brooklyn – Dominick Dragonetti, Jr., age 82, passed away on May 19, 2022 in Brooklyn, NY. He was born on August 9, 1939 to parents Dominick Dragonetti, Sr. and Nancy Dragonetti (nee' Bombocci).
Dominick was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. For 40 years, he was a Sports Cameraman for ABC Television Network. He won 5 Emmy Awards for Sports Television Coverage of the 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid, NY, the 1988 LA Olympics, as well as various Baseball World Series and political conventions. Dominick was part of the ABC Wide World of Sports. His hobbies included golf, baseball (he played in AAA League), politics (he loved a good debate) and history (he was a wealth of knowledge in many areas).
He is survived by his children, Joanmarie Dragonetti-Flohl and her husband Steven, and Michael Dragonetti and his wife Dawn; his grandchildren, Gabriel and Giana Flohl, and Alessandra and Angelina Dragonetti; and his siblings: Anthony and Albert Dragonetti.
Dominick was predeceased by his parents: Dominick Sr. and Nancy; brothers, Carmine and Joseph Dragonetti; and his niece Nancy Dragonetti.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, May 30, 2022 at 10:30am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction, NY.
