Dominick A. Delia, Jr., 62, died suddenly on June 5, 2016 at Putnam Hospital Center.
He was born on September 17, 1953 in Peekskill to parents Dominick A. Delia, Sr. and Dorothy A. Delia. Dominick was a parishioner at St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction. He graduated from Peekskill High School in June of 1971, and graduated from the University of New England in Springfield, MA in May of 1975.
Dominick was a lifetime employee of St. Joseph's Hospital in Yonkers until his retirement in May of this year.
Dominick was a loving and dedicated son, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle. His compassion knew no bounds. A quiet and humble man, Dominick was a charitable person to many organizations, especially those of the Catholic Church, children foundations, and the Alzheimer's Association.
Dominick is survived by his mother, Dorothy Delia; his lifetime and loving companion, Roseanne D'Albis; his sisters, Joy (Vincent) Colucci and Elizabeth Dingee; his brothers, Joseph (Amy) Delia, Michael (Linda) Delia, and Ralph (Kathy) Delia; and his loving nieces and nephews, Vincent (Jennifer), Anthony (Kate), Michele (Ryan), Bettina (Greg), Hillary (Brandon), Ryan (Alisha), Danielle (Dalton), Joseph (Corinne), Nicole, Brooke (Tom), Kristen, Michael, Guy, Ralph, and Lauren. Dominick was also a great uncle to 15 nieces and nephews who he lovingly adored. He was predeceased by his father, Dominick Delia and his brother-in-law, Roger Dingee.
Our world will be empty without him, but we will take comfort in the blessing of his endless love and support that he gave us.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 3-7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 11 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery.
