Obituary

Dominick B. Ricciardi, Sr., a Town of Fishkill resident for over 20 years, formerly of the Bronx, New York, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. He was 77. Son of the late Basil and Henrietta Ricciardi, he was born on December 21, 1944 in the Bronx, grew up on 174th St. and Bryant Avenue, and attended Monroe High School. After graduating from high school, before a lifetime career in auto sales, he was enlisted in the U.S. Army. On April 11, 1970, he married his beautiful bride, Lorraine Goodey at St. Francis of Rome Church in the Bronx. Also, originally from the Bronx, his beloved Lorraine survives at home in Fishkill. Dominick and Lorraine moved to Cortlandt Manor in 1973, where they lived and raised their family for over 30 years. Passionate about the art of sales, Dominick's successful career spanned many years working at Manhattan Ford, where he served as General Manager. In 2017, he co-founded 3 Old Guys Auto Sales in Newburgh, where he remained actively working until recently. Dominick was a classic car fanatic and took special interest in vintage and antique automobiles. He also enjoyed playing pool, boxing, horse racing and watching Westerns. He loved music and was a Doo-wop aficionado. Dominick's personality was larger than life, his stories were legendary. He had an extraordinary ability to make people laugh and the charisma to charm an entire room. He thrived in social situations. To know Dominick was to love him. More than anything else, however, Dominick loved spending time with his family and especially cherished his grandchildren, who affectionately referred to him as "Pop Pop". Additional survivors include his daughter, Danielle Ricciardi of Beacon; his daughter, Jennifer Ricciardi of Yorktown Heights; his son, Dominick B. Ricciardi, Jr. & his wife Micaela of Fishkill; his grandchildren, Dean, Derek, Delaina, Frankie, Rocco, and Luca; his sister, Mary Seta of Staten Island; as well as many other loving relatives and friends. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 16 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 17 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill, NY. Entombment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Putnam Valley, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, Castle Point Chapter #144, 41 Castle Point Rd., Wappingers Falls, NY 12590 (www.dav.org).
