Dominique Dontae Brissett, 22, passed away tragically from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Monday, September 13, 2021, in Guilford, NY.

Dominique was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica on September 3, 1999. In 2018, he moved to the U.S. and resided in Fishkill, NY for several years prior to relocating to Norwich, NY in 2020.

Dominique worked as second shift supervisor for Deb El Food Products in Sherburne, NY. He was currently enrolled in trade school to become a mechanic. Dominique loved driving as well as working on cars and engines and his life dream was to own and operate a trucking company. He truly cherished spending time with his family and friends and also made every effort to make new friends with those he met. He'll be remembered for his outgoing spirit and his beautiful smile, which captivated those in his presence.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Stacey-Ann and Herbert Miller of Fishkill, NY; his father, Rohan Brissett of St. Catherine, Jamaica; his grandmother, Christine Alladyce; his siblings, Danielle Brissett, Dabria Brissett, Ayla Miller, Jayden Miller, and Brandon Brissett; his partner, Karina Paramo, along with her daughter Ivory Garcia; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving relatives & dear friends, including Patricia Headlam, who was a second mother to Dominique throughout his life.

He was predeceased by three of his grandparents, Winston Powell, Archibald Brissett, and Dolcie Zerepha Brissett.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021, from 9am-11am at Beacon Light Tabernacle Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1568 Route 9D, Wappingers Falls, NY. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am.
