Fishkill- Donald D. Alegre, a long-time area resident, passed away on October 31, 2021. He was 69.

Donald was born on January 27, 1952, in Beacon, NY, the son of Evelyn Alegre.

For many years Donald worked for Local 707 Road Carriers where he worked as a jockey and truck driver. He then delivered mail to local post offices.

Donald loved to ride his Harley Davidson Trike and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He had a great sense of humor and was a true and loyal friend who dedicated over 10 years of service to the Wiccopee Fire Co.

Donald is survived by his loving daughters, Carrie Ann Alegre and Sandi Shipley & her husband Michael Shipley; and his cherished grandchildren, Austin, Brycin and Colbie.

In addition to his parents, Donald is predeceased by his grandmother, Evelyn, who raised him.

A celebration of life in Donald's honor will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill Inc. 1089 Main Street.
