Donald Andrew Bleakley, Sr., 68, of New Braunfels, TX died on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, TX.

Born in Tarrytown on October 26, 1946, he was the son of Ralph and Eleanor Cole Bleakley. Don served in the US Navy from 1964-1967. He was a graduate of Dutchess Community College and Marist College with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing. He had been employed as a dispatcher for Roadway Trucking Company, as a security guard for Hudson Armored Car Company, and for the Grand Union Warehouse in Mount Kisco.

Don had been a volunteer with the Croton Falls Fire Department. He had previously resided in Pine Bush, Hopewell Junction, Newport News, VA, and Croton Falls. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

Don is survived by his daughter, Theresa M. (David) Wielgos; his sons, Donald A. Bleakley Jr. and Michael J. Bleakley; his grandchildren, Brian, Kristen, Kaileigh, Skyler, Cameron, Jacqueline, Jolie, Janna, Jessalynn, Franklin, Kearsi, Isabella and Paulie; his stepchildren, Mary (Adriel) Bou, Frank (Kari) Mead, and Paul (Clarissa) Mead; his siblings, John (Doreen) Bleakley, George (Annette) Bleakley, Jerry (Rosie) Bleakley, Doug Bleakley, Donna Belmont, Eleanor Carrigan, Roxanne Levis, and Marjorie (Brian) McMahon; his former wife, Monica Karl Pickering; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Charles Bleakley and Ralph "Skip" Bleakley.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 28, from 11am – 2pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction with a service at 1pm.
