EAST FISHKILL - Donald A. Kellam, 93, an area resident since 1959, died peacefully at his home on September 8, 2021.
Born in Narrowsburg on September 1, 1928, he was the son of Peter and Bertha (Stevenson) Kellam. Donald proudly served our county in the US Army during the Korean War. He had been employed by the New York State Department of Corrections at Green Haven, Fishkill and Downstate Correctional Facilities.
On January 7, 1956 in Cambria Heights, Long Island, Donald married Josephine Rizzo who predeceased him on November 20, 1993. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Gina Kellam on September 8, 1976 and his brother Harold Kellam
Donald is survived by his children and their spouses, Donald and Genevieve Kellam, Katherine and John Otero, and Denise Kellam; his grandchildren, Ryan, Justin, David and Lacey-Jo; and his sister, Eleanor Wells.
Services will be private.
Memorial donations may be made to Hudson Valley Hospice.
