HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Don Kissane died peacefully at home on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the age of 84.
Don was predeceased by his wife Pat to whom he was married for 61 years; his parents, John and Mary; and his brother and sister, John and Ann.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Monica Kissane and Rock Nadeau of Freeport, ME; his son and daughter-in-law, John and Patti Kissane of Wappingers Falls; his grandchildren, Brian and Daniel Kissane of Wappingers Falls, Chris Bauer and his wife, Karen of Las Vegas, NV; Sara Alexander and her husband Chris of Sammamish, WA; his great-grandchildren, Kevin, Sean and Emily Alexander; and his beloved nieces and nephews.
Don was born in NYC. He attended Sacred Heart School, Samuel Gompers High School and Dutchess Community College, and he retired from Texaco in 1994. He was a Lieutenant in the Wiccopee Fire Company, a member of the Dutchess County Volunteer Fire Police Association, the Dutchess County Fire Response Team, and the Putnam-Westchester Fire Police Association. He truly enjoyed the camaraderie at the firehouse, and a great game of pool with his friends.
Don was an avid photographer whose favorite subject was his wife Pat and their travels around the United States. Together again, they continue the journey that began as teenagers sixty-five years ago.
The family would like to thank Hudson Valley Hospice for all of their help.
