POUGHKEEPSIE – Donald Mastroti, 40, a lifelong area resident, passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Donald was born in Poughkeepsie on September 29, 1974. He had previously worked for Home Depot in Poughkeepsie for over 9 years.

Donald was predeceased by his father, Michel Mastroti in 2004. He is survived by his mother, Daniella (Gauthier) Mastroti of Poughkeepsie; his grandmother, Marie Carmen Mastroti; his aunts and uncles, Eddy and Theresa Gauthier, Richard Gauthier, Eva Gauthier, Sebastian and Marjorie Gauthier, Louise Zerdian, Karl and Marie Gladys Menuau, Gustav and Marie Angele Mastroti, James and Lucy Mastroti, and Lynda and David Morgenstern; and many cousins and friends.

Donald was an avid fan of Batman, the Boston Celtics, the New York Mets, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed listening to music, using computers, and spending time with family and friends. Donald had a contagious smile, and a genuine heart of gold. Donald will forever be remembered with ending every conversation with, "I love you".

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment at St. Peter's Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.
