Donald
Pagano
November 29, 1951 – November 29, 2025
STORMVILLE - Donald Pagano, an area resident for 41 years, died on his 74th birthday, November 29, 2025 after a long, hard health battle.
Born on November 29, 1951 in Greenwich, CT, Don was the son of the late Anthony Pagano, Sr. and Rose (Strazza) Pagano of Mamaroneck, NY where he grew up. He lived a life marked by strength, humility, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
He proudly served his country in Vietnam, answering the call to duty with unwavering courage and honor. During his service in the Army, he demonstrated a resilience that shaped the man he became. Though he carried the weight of his experiences silently, his family always knew the depth of his sacrifice. His bravery in Vietnam-and the quiet strength he showed throughout his life-will forever be remembered.
After returning home, Don built a life centered on hard work, integrity, and love. On May 29, 1976 at St. Vito's Church in Mamaroneck, he married his teenage sweetheart Debra (Lee) Pagano and together they built their family life, raising their three children: Joseph, David and Jessie. He spent 35 years working as a foreman for the city of White Plains. Outside of work, Don found joy in hunting, fishing, camping, and he especially cherished time spent with his family.
While living in Mamaroneck, he was an active member of the Mamaro Volunteer Fire Department and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife Debra, his son Joseph Pagano and his wife Nicole of Rowlett, TX, son David Pagano of
Wappingers
Falls, and daughter Jessie Wilson and her husband Ryan of
LaGrangeville
; his grandchildren, Gabriela Pagano, Hunter Wilson, and Emma Wilson; his brother, Anthony Pagano Jr. and his wife Maryann; and his nieces and nephews, Amanda, Matthew, Jennifer and Anthony,
Don leaves behind a legacy of quiet heroism, humility, and love-a legacy felt deeply by all who knew him. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now at peace, reunited with loved ones and his brothers-in-arms.
