Donald B. Schwer passed away on March 19, 2025 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center at the age of 87. He was born on January 25, 1938 in Tarrytown, NY to the late Joseph and Evelyn Schwer. On June 17, 1962 he married his beloved wife Carole E. (Longhi) Schwer at St. Ann's Church in Yorktown. Carole predeceased him on September 27, 2024.

Donald was an Electrician for Local 501 and Local 3. In his free time, he enjoyed camping and traveling with his family in his motor home, telling stories and cracking jokes, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Donald selflessly loved his family and was always there to help anyone in need.

He is survived by his daughters Stacey Schwer and Holly Cammarata; and his grandchildren Eric, Elizabeth, Emily, Sophia, and Ronnie.

In addition to his wife Carole and his parents, he was predeceased by his son-in-law Ronald Cammarata.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025 from 4-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY.
