HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Donata Paglia, 93, an area resident for 3 years, died at home surrounded by her family on January 28, 2026. She previously lived in Yonkers and Margaretville .

Born on July 29, 1932 in Manhattan, Donata was the daughter of the late Michele and Nunziata ( Baccari ) Rufo . She was employed by Tork Industries in Mount Vernon until her retirement. She was a parishioner at St. Kateri Church in LaGrangeville.

On July 23, 1955, Donata married the love of her life, Giuseppe Paglia, who predeceased her in 2022. She is survived by her children, Anthony Paglia of Spartanburg, SC, Joseph Paglia and his wife, Maria of Anderson, SC, Peter Paglia and his wife Tina of Hopewell Junction; her grandchildren, Giuseppe, Carmine, Brianna, Angelica and Anthony, Jr.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 6th from 4 - 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, February 7th at 10 am at St. Kateri Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by entombment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
