Donna Marie D'Angelo (Capozzi), born June 13, 1963, in the Bronx, New York, passed away on April 12, 2026. She was 62.

Donna was the beloved eldest daughter of the late Richard Capozzi and Joann Stephens, and a devoted sister to Richard T. Capozzi, Christopher Stephens, Michael Stephens, and Josette Capozzi.

Above all, Donna was a nurturer at heart. She had a rare gift for making people feel cared for, seen, and uplifted-whether through a home-cooked meal, a heartfelt conversation, or a simple act of kindness.

Her greatest joy and proudest role was being a mother to her son, Richard Joseph D'Angelo, who was the center of her world.

A proud Italian American, Donna grew up in Westchester, New York, and later made her home in the Hudson Valley. She carried her heritage with her in everything she did-especially in her kitchen, where she expressed her love through food. Holidays at Donna's were an unforgettable tradition, filled with the warmth of traditional Italian dishes, laughter, and the unmistakable feeling of being home. Donna lived life with energy and spirit. She loved 1970s music and could often be found dancing without hesitation whenever a favorite song came on-her joy was contagious to everyone around her. She was always in motion, whether cooking, helping a friend, volunteering in her community, or simply bringing people together.

Calling hours will be held from 2: 00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, April 19 at McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill , Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10: 00am on Monday, April 20 at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W. Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY.
