STANFORDVILLE - Doreen Mary Crane, 65, a lifelong area resident, died peacefully at her niece's home on July 13, 2022.

Doreen was born in White Plains on August 10, 1956. She has worked for the Putnam County Office for the Aging for over 30 years, most recently as the Deputy Director and Coordinator of Services. She was currently the President of the county's non-profit group, Friends of Senior Citizens. She was passionate about her work and was very dedicated to serving the elderly.

Doreen also enjoyed going to "wine and dine" with family and friends, as well as getting her nails done. She loved spending time with her family, and liked to spoil her great-niece, Savannah and her great-nephew, Ernesto.

Doreen is survived by her mother, Theresa Crane of Uncasville, CT; her siblings and their spouses, Karen and Michael Mitchell of Lagrangeville and Thomas and Lisa Crane of New Smyrna Beach, FL; her nieces and nephews, Michelle Dawkins, Nicole Mitchell, Andrew Crane, Michael Crane, Fallon Crane, Dillon Crane, and Jordan Crane; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and her faithful dog, Mugsey. Doreen was predeceased by her father, Thomas A. Crane.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-7 pm, with a funeral service at 7pm, at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. Burial will be private at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
