Dorinda J. Brown, 72, a resident of Stormville for 55 years, died on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at her home.
Born in Mount Kisco on May 31, 1939, she was the daughter of Carl and Helen Moseman Fisher. Dorinda had been employed as a vaulkinizing engineer for the Pawling Rubber Corporation for 32 years. She enjoyed embroidering, traveling and shopping.
On March 23, 1957 in Ludingtonville, Dorinda married Clarence M. Brown who survives at home. She is also survived by her daughters, Brenda Coryea and her husband Thomas of Wingdale and Bonnie McEckron of Wingdale; her grandchildren, Regina and Brent Blackburn of Fort Edward, Kelly Bierce of Clifton Park, Peter and Rebecca McEckron of Forest City, PA; her great-grandchildren, Logan Fuller, Andrew Blackburn, Dyvante Terrelonge, Tiessence Porter, Jennie and Mikayla McEckron-Clark, George McEckron; her sisters, Helen Fisher and Carole Woolley; her brother, Carl Fisher; and many, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Peter McEckron.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday at 12pm at the Stormville Fire Company, 112 Old Route 52, Stormville.Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
