Doris Castro, 84 years old, of Wappingers Falls and formerly of White Plains, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Lima, Peru on February 3, 1936, she was the daughter of Moises and Petronila (Sanchez) Castro. Doris was a member of the Christian Church, El Sembrador.

Doris was predeceased by her husband, Gerardo Sarmiento. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Richard and Ruth, Judith and Fernando, Monica and Sebastian; her grandchildren, Italo, Diana, Allison, Christopher, Carlos and Andrew; and her great-grandchildren, Danny, Vanessa, Giovanni, Samantha, David, Angelina, Gabriel and Giavanna.

Private services will be held for the family with interment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
