Dorothy "Dotty" (Kahn) Beazley, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and cherished educator, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, in Hopewell Junction, New York, at the age of 83.

Born on November 11, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, Dorothy was known for her thoughtful heart, steady fairness, and quiet strength. She lived a life rooted in love, family, and service to others.

Dorothy was the devoted wife of Arthur R. Beazley and the loving mother of Diane Hochman, Eileen Werve, and Laura Foody. She welcomed her sons-in-law, Steve and Dan, as her own. Nothing brought her greater joy than her role as grandmother to Jillian, Sarah, Ben, Sean, Anna, Samantha, and her husband Alex, each of whom she adored beyond measure. She is also survived by her sister, Kathleen Kahn, her brother, Donald Kahn, and his wife, Pat Kahn.

For decades, Dorothy dedicated herself to the students and staff of LaGrange Elementary School. As an educator, she was deeply respected and loved, leaving an indelible impression on generations of children and colleagues. Her patience, kindness, and unwavering commitment to fairness shaped countless young lives and defined her professional legacy.

At home and among friends, Dorothy found joy in life's simple comforts. She loved crocheting-many family members and friends treasure the beautiful baby blankets and full-sized afghans she made by hand. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and quiet games of solitaire, small rituals that reflected her gentle and contented spirit.

In her later years, Dorothy faced Frontal Temporal Dementia with courage and resilience. Though the disease slowly took much from her, it never diminished the love she gave so freely throughout her life.

Dorothy's life was a testament to kindness, devotion, and quiet impact. While she will be deeply missed, her memory lives on in the hearts of her family and in the many lives she touched as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher, and friend.
