Dorothy F. Gustin, 90, a resident of Stormville since 2008 and formerly of Waynesboro, VA and Briarcliff, NY, died on Friday, January 8, 2010 at her home.

Born on May 28, 1919 in Yonkers, she was the daughter of John and Mary Davidson Faiella.  Dorothy worked as a nursing home recreation director and taught art at Sing Sing Correctional Facility.  She was a master gardener and the past president of the Briarcliff Garden Club.  Upon becoming a senior citizen, Dorothy became interested in spelunking, whitewater rafting, flying, hot air ballooning, camping and skin diving.

On May 10, 1941 in Yonkers, she married Bruce A. Gustin who predeceased her on December 21, 1990.  Dorothy is survived by her children, Bruce A. Gustin, III of Albuquerque, NM, Richard Gustin and his wife, Carol of Stormville, Michael Gustin and his wife, Joanna of Bedford, George D. Gustin of Hardyville, VA, Marie Lyon and her husband, Dr. Thomas Lyon of Gold Canyon, AZ and Thomas B. Gustin and his wife, Lori of Ossining; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours.  Interment will be in Tinkling Springs, VA.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.  Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
