Dorothy J. Marshall, 86, a resident of Hopewell Junction for over 40 years, died on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at home.

Born on April 22, 1932 in Amsterdam, NY, Dorothy was the daughter of Martin and Ida (Sudolsky) Kreisel.

Dorothy married the love of her life, Charles F. Marshall II, who predeceased her on April 28, 2014.

Dorothy was a Librarian at East Fishkill Community Library for many years. She enjoyed old movies, reading, shopping, knitting and needlepoint. Her life's joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Chip Marshall (Mary Capozzi), and Maribeth Reitberger (Rick); her grandchildren, Stephen Marshall (Christina), Ariel, Penny and Oliver; her great grandson, Cole; her sister, Carolyn Kruger; her sisters-in-law and brothers -in-law, Margie Karuzas (Jim), Peter Marshall, Paul Marshall (Barb), Mary Robertshaw (Guy), and Kathy Laconte.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy will be held on Thursday, October 25 at 10am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson St., Fishkill. Interment for Dorothy and Chuck will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
