FISHKILL - Douglas E. Cole, 82, died on March 27, 2018 at his home.

Born on July 18, 1935, and following the sudden death of his parents, he was raised by his grandparents. He proudly served our country in the US Army during the Korean War. Doug was a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America, the Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association, and the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and volunteering at Castle Point VA Medical Center.

Doug is survived by his wife Marlene (Lucas); his daughter and son-in-law, Shelby and Joe Day of Beacon; his son, Glen Pavelock of Beacon; his grandchildren, DeVante Pavelock and Joseph Day; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. The funeral service will be on Friday at 11am at the funeral home followed by interment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
