YORKTOWN HEIGHTS - Douglas E. Howell, 74, died on February 22, 2021.
Born in Yonkers on February 15, 1947, he was the son of the late Harold and Valier (Douglas) Howell. Doug was the owner and operator of Olympic Auto Repair in Mount Vernon for more than 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, nature lover, history buff, and a member of the Greenheart Rod & Gun Club. He was a very caring and loving man and deeply loved by all.
Doug is survived by his wife of 38 years Tara (Conlan) Howell; his children Janelle (Ernie) Chieffo, Douglas Howell, Valier (Scott) Haviland, and Loraine Howell; grandchildren Dominic, Dylan, Isabella, Donovan and Preston; brother Harold (Janet) Howell, and their children Billy and Brittany; as well as many other loving family members and friends.
