Edith K. Baisley, a 52-year resident of Cold Spring, died on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh. She was 83.
Daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes (Flynn) Barker, she was born in Yonkers on December 2, 1932. On May 31, 1953, she married Russell Baisley in Yorktown Heights. She was predeceased by her husband on December 20, 2005.
Edith enjoyed many hobbies, and especially loved to cook. She was known to keep a hefty collection of recipes. Above all else, she truly cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Holly A. Baisley; her son, Jon R. Baisley & his wife Lisa; her grandchildren, Gina & James Baisley; her sister, Joan Lambert; and many other loving relatives & friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Edith was also predeceased by her daughter, Dianne Baisley, in 1963; as well as her sister, Marie Knoeller.
Services are private.
