Fishkill – Edith DiDio, 90, a resident of Fishkill for 7 years and previously of Yonkers, died on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Wingate at Dutchess.

Born in the Bronx on May 30, 1926, Edith was the daughter of John and Grace (Picarelli) DeSantis. Edith married Alfred DiDio who predeceased her in 1990.

Edith is survived by her children, John DiDio and his wife Katherine of Hopewell Junction, and Maria Cummings and her husband Dan of Pleasant Valley; her grandchildren, Michelle Omeara, John DiDio, Nicholas DeTomaso, and Mia Cummings; her 6 great grandchildren; and her brother, Richard DeSantis of Yonkers.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
