Christopher
August 30, 1948 – October 26, 2025
LAGRANGEVILLE/MARLBORO - Edmund Christoper, 77, died on October 26, 2025 at his home.
Born on August 30, 1948, in Poughkeepsie, NY, Ed was an Arlington High School graduate before moving to Santa Monica, CA, where he lived for 30 years. He returned to the Hudson Valley when his granddaughter was born. He then spent the remainder of his life in the Hudson Valley. A skilled mason, Ed devoted his career to the craft he loved.
Ed was an avid runner, completing many marathons over the course of his life. Some of Ed's happiest times were spent on Cape Cod with his son and grandchildren. He loved early morning walks on Nauset Beach and strolling through Provincetown in the evenings. He could often be found playing solitaire in the kitchen or reading a book on the deck. Ed was a diehard Cowboys fan who never missed a game, especially on Thanksgiving.
Ed is survived by his son, Mark Christopher and his wife Susan; his daughter, Jeneen "Nikki" Christoper; his grandchildren, Quinn Christopher and his wife Ashley, Elizabeth Christopher, Noah Christopher, and Jojo Christopher; his great-grandchildren, Chase, Cameron, and Thomas; his sisters, Bunny Dubois and Karen Mondragon; and his nieces and nephews, Gary, Michelle, Cheri, and Bobby.
Ed was predeceased by his parents, Edmond and Olga (Dalia) Christopher; his son, Matt Christopher; his nephews, Mark and Eddie; and his former wife, Joanne Meckelvaney.
Calling hours will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Saturday, November 1st from 11am - 2pm with a memorial service at 2pm.
