Edward R. B urfield Jr., 81, passed away on April 8, 2026 at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital.

Born on November 4, 1944 in Washington, D .C., he was the son of the late Edward R. B urfield Sr. and Mary (Landis) Burfield. Edward had been an area resident since 2004 after relocating from H allandale Beach, FL.

Edward is survived by his wife, Joyce (Zucco) Burfield; his daughter, Lorinda Nihoff; his grandchildren, Jesse, Dalton (Lily), Tony, Kayla and Tino; his great-grandchildren, Kaylib, Keeghin, Koltin, Chelsea and Maci; his brothers, Earl Burfield and Scott Burfield; his sister, Jeannine Walker; and several nieces and nephews.

Edward was very devoted to his fur babies, both past and present. He leaves behind his dogs, Book and Dizzy; and his cats, Sylvia and C honk. His dog, D ozer, died several months ago and was waiting for him on the Rainbow Bridge.
