Edward "Teddy" John Cox, 43, a resident of Bullard, TX since 2021 and formerly of Fishkill, died on July 31, 2023 at Christus Trinity Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler, TX following a short illness.

Born in Poughkeepsie on October 8, 1979, he was the son of Penny (Glass) Brooks. Teddy proudly served our country in the US Army.

On March 20, 2007 in Fishkill, Teddy married the love of his life, Desiree Cox, who survives at home with their children Olivia Rae Cox and Kayson Abel Cox; his mother and her husband, Penny and James A. Brooks of Fishkill; his brother, James D. Brooks of Fishkill; his mother and father-in-law, Louise and Ralph Fragroso of Wappingers Falls; his brother-in-law Michael Fragroso; his aunts and uncles, Terry and Carol Glass, Greg and Diane Glass, Connie and Gene Gawryczik, and Pamela and Gary Caldwell; and his cousins, Jamie and Jack Lunsford, Jeffrey and Paula Glass, Brian Glass, Kristin Gawryczik, Craig Gawryczik, Jennifer Caldwell and Gary Caldwell. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Oliver Ray and Iva Mae Glass.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 1-3 and 6-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery with military honors.
