Edward Groff Hess III

Edward Hess III, 49, passed away on September 23, 2026.

Ed was a devoted husband, brother, friend, and dog dad. Those who knew him knew he was truly one of a kind. Known by many as "Octave Ed" and "Little Eddie Hess," he could fill a room with his personality, his unmistakable voice, and his ability to make everyone laugh. He was hardworking, generous, famously stubborn, and always willing to help someone in need.

Ed was a true foodie who loved a great meal, traveling, exploring new places, and enjoying the simple things in life. He especially loved his dog, Bella, who brought him so much happiness.

Ed was the son of the late Ed and Helen Hess.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Priscila; his sisters, Karen, Robin (Rich), Tammy (Matt), and Stacey (Elliott); his father-in-law, Flavio; his mother-in-law, Isabel (John); his brother-in-law, Michael (Krysten); his nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Ed will be remembered for his humor, his generous heart, and simply for being unapologetically himself. He was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
