Edward P. Jessup, age 66, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022, leaving all who loved him heavy-hearted. Born on October 5, 1955, the only child of proud parents, Albert and Jane Jessup, Eddie's large personality was immediately evident.
On July 4, 1976, while still a college student, Eddie married his high school sweetheart, Jean Jessup (Vanderbilt). He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Mercy College. In 1978, he welcomed his first child, Ryan. His second child, Ashley, arrived in 1982.
Dedicated husband and father, and astute businessman, Eddie founded Jessup Associates, Inc. in 1987 and served as its President and CEO until his passing. Eddie proudly served his community as Town of Lagrange Councilman and Deputy Supervisor from 2009-2021, Town of LaGrange Republican Committee Chairman from 2015-2019 and Dutchess County Republican Committee Vice-Chairman from 2019-present.
A man of many passions, he was a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan and shared the love of the game with his son, Ryan, and many friends. He enjoyed spending his winters in sunny Florida. His greatest love was reserved for his grandsons, Nicholas Edmond and Brayden Edward. He could regularly be heard playing ball with them in the backyard and cheering them on from the sidelines.
Eddie is also survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Jean; his son Ryan and his fiancé, Leanne Ficker; his daughter, Ashley Scelia and her husband, Edmond Scelia, his two grandsons, Nicholas and Brayden Scelia, and many many close friends. To know Eddie, was to love him.
